Valleys Information Portal

What is a Valley

Elongate depression of the Earth’s surface. Valleys are commonly drained by rivers and may be in a relatively flat plain or between ranges of hills or mountains. Valleys formed by rivers and slope denudation are typically V-shaped; those formerly occupied by glaciers are characteristically U-shaped. Valley evolution is controlled mainly by climate and rock type. Very narrow, deep valleys cut in resistant rock and having steep, almost vertical sides are called canyons. Smaller valleys of similar appearance are called gorges.

The idea of a valleys portal

The Valleys information portal has been setup to fulfill the need of serving you the information about different valleys of the world. Here is what the ideologist and manager of Valleys Information Portal says:

“The idea of a valleys portal may not be new but new for me. I was thinking of setting up a portal which gives you information about all the valleys of the world. This is about making a portal that has sub domains and linked website for every single valley of the world. I will research the valleys of the world and post their information on my portals ranging a full list of world valleys. This is what I think this site is going to be about. Yeah I used the word THINK as its not going to be just a portal having information. Its going to be a whole new way of making the people interact with each other to share Valleys Information.
